A pause in our understanding, for our understanding is an ongoing research project which explores the field of human cultural and cognitive evolution. Beginning with the idea of ‘narrative’ as a container with its capacity to hold, form, and structure our experiences, the project takes the perforation of narrative as its focus.
Following a devised protocol, A pause in our understanding, for our understanding seeks to highlight the limits of our comprehension through disrupting psychological continuity and narrative coherence. The project implicates others in this process of disruption via the staging of a film production within a gallery context.
